A few weeks ago my dog died, my bird died two weeks later, and then today my great grandmother of 96 years died at 12:45 exactly, after suffering with cancer. Anyone else seem to be having a large stream of bad luck so far this year?

Trying to keep the family business afloat after my father's death this past September. My fourth hire since then started Monday, but quit Thursday morning. Without adequate help, customer service is slipping and clients are dropping out. And Friday, we found out one of our machines needs a $1,200 repair.

My pets are fine, however.

Oh, yeah, the other 3 hires each quit without any notices too.

My boss bitched at me because I'd rather be with my family in time of need than work has his shitty shop, saying I'm blowing them off and everyone's pissed at me when in fact, I told them all two days ago it was gonna happen soon, and they all said they understand completely.

What are you talking about?

well, at least you got some cool stickers. Sorry about your grandmother. That sucks. My grannies died before I really knew them. My parents are in their 70's and in bad shape though, so I at least suspect my dad will die this year. :(

We were expecting that out of her for the past 4 years, always saying "this may be her last birthday." She has suffered through a stroke, brain surgery, breaking her should, breaking her hip, etc. all in the past 5 years alone, and still lived through nearly a whole century. She was a strong woman man.
