I've been riding damn near my entire life. I have really slowed down over the last few years (aside from riding flatland) and have been picking it up again recently. Who here rides, and where do you ride?
I am also looking to trade some parts for other parts too.
thats me at NB skatepark a few years back doing an X up transfer to fakie.
here are the ramps I have been building lately. I am going to break my fucking neck soon and I can't wait!

waaay back in the day, yea. my bike's suffered some brutal beatings though so they didn't really last too long and i couldn't really afford it. good times though
i used to ride flatland out of bordom bc one of my ex boyfriends was at the skatepark 24/7.. figured id spend some time with him.. i miss it. would enjoy it but when we split my bike was not part of my inventory.. boo.. im way into watching riding. i grew up w south shore kids that ride.. sean burns and i used to go to the same daycare group when our moms taught cable access aerobics. bone deth kids.
Shit thats sweet, I never knew that. Me and my bud matt built a flatland riding area in an abandon house lot last year. Now instead of crooked parking lots and bumpy streets we have a sweet raised dead flat wooden area to ride on. I got mad flatland parts laying around if you want to get back into it. We go all over the east coast for big ass flatland jams and ride weekly with a few pro's.
I am also doing a cable access TV show on riding and death metal. Going to be doing interviews with bands, and music video's, or live performances in the studio. Shits going to be bad ass and we could definitely use people to help out.
i used to ride long long time ago. just bought a trek 4500 hardtail mountain bike and after not owning a bike in 8 years it is kicking my out of shape ass.
I was totally thinking of getting a new bmx bike just cause it would be easier to whip around to the bank and post office and stuff. not to mention i can't do tricks on the mountain bike. Looking at the GT Performer(had one around '92 age 11 or so). don't wanna spend more than 3 bills. any suggestions?

i used to ride a ton, i was never good, so i was the kid that everyone hated at the skatepark...
i have a GT Bestwick pro, with we the people 3piece cranks, fit bars, a primo stem? and primo pedals.
i should get back into it. the bike in total cost me almost $1000 i think
after seeing those ramp photos i still want to build one...
how much would a five foot mini ramp cost?
i used to have a modded up schwinn predator like 8 years ago. titanium 3 piece crank, crazy wheels, ultra lightweight handlebars, upgraded brake, rear sprocket, pads and a number plate. my parents never took me to a bmx course though. that bike whooped all sorts of ass.
looked like this but was their "mirror blue" color. my 3 piece crank was a blue color too.
bump. Anyone ride besides me and W3? I went off my first dirt jump when I was 8 and I've been riding bmx since. I ride with 4 pegs, front brakes, and a freecoaster. Tech street is the most fun to me, but I enjoy gaps and air tricks as well.
sweet ride, thats what I got but mine is all black and chipping away to the under colors of green, white and pink. oh and no brakes, fuck those things lol
I was crazy into BMX back in the 90's although I've only ever road street, no trails or dirt. Used to ride @ Turtles sometimes but other than that it was Copley Square steps or the side of Government Center T entrance.
I had an awesome job in my early 20's delivering photos around the back bay on a BMX all day. I was supposed to be walking, so I would do the delivery in 15 minutes and then smoke weed & practice manuals for an hour hahaha. Best job ever.
had a million bikes back then, used to buy them constantly from the wantadvertiser magazine thing. would drive around the deep burbs to old bike shops and buy vintage unused parts and shit. I'm always embarrassed at what a pussy I am working on my bike now, I can't do shit and I used to be able to take apart my BMX completely and reassemble. Of course that meant like 3o different tools that I don't have anymore.

@late rising or joshtruction, got any parts you're looking to get rid of? This is pretty much my current build, and it's seen better days.
Bully Hot Rod (one of the first street frames under 6 lbs), nankai freecoaster in the back, very outdated by today's standards but pretty good back in 03.

fuck all that noise, i rode from union square to boyleston and then rode commonwealth up to allston.
got a lil too drunk at practice so had to be driven home, fuck you.
As for spare parts nope. As soon as I replace parts I usually give them to neighborhood kids. Try to get them in the same habbits to help out future BMXers. I might buy new cranks soon if yours are hurting.
Eh, my profiles are doing ok but I think I might just buy a used complete off craigslist. My newer ride got stolen last year, that's one way to give parts to neighborhood kids I guess, haha.

This thread reminds me of the late 80s when all of the cool kids in Uxbridge rode BMX and tightrolled their pants and called the skateboarders faggots until one day skating was cool on MTV and they were all suddenly Captain Thrasher Xtreme. Also for some reason they all started listening to terrible early 90s straight edge hardcore. Most are now confirmed junkies.
yeah sorry gave/threw away the parts & tools 10 years ago, and my last built bike that I kept, a Free Agent Limo (20"), got stolen out of my basement a couple years ago.
Remembering the Limo was a 20" is making me want to remember what frame my 24" was, and my burned brain won't accommodate. I did genuine courier work on that thing for 6 months or so, shit was madness.
Nice man! those ramps look like they're coming out awesome. I use to ride dirt, never got into ramps. I refurbished my old Hoffman last year and I wanna get it sent out to me so bad.

pretty sure remembering a time before skateboarding was cool makes you officially old, go me
I membah this. Half of my friends skated, the other half thought it was gay. Then when it was cool, the other half tried to skate and sucked, breaking wrists and shit.
