front wheel drive = better in the snow for the most part
every rear wheel drive car i have "owned" was better in the snow than any front wheel drive car i drove in the snow. most noteworthy was my big dark cherry caprice wagon. that thing plowed through the snow like it had all wheel drive. no joke. never got stuck, ever. never disobeyed my command, ever.
i've almost crashed like 5 times in a FWD car in the snow. mostly understeer issues.
If your truck is faster than a VR6, there's something wrong because any car that comes with a VR6 is fucking fast as fuck (I drove one all the way up from FL so I'd know first hand).
I just hate European cars in general though. Chevy 4x4's ftw.

I don't know, the vr6 motor doesn't have much to give after you hit the 80 mph mark.
I'm not big on european cars either. especially german and especially FWD. but come on, 300 dollars for a fucking escourt is win.
