I dont think the movie needs an R rating to be good, but would rather not be in the theater with a bunch of 13 year olds. I have yet to see terminator 3.

i love T3. it was lighter than the others but i thought it was a great cap to the story. the end is very bleak, i thought it was done very well.

I might discount bin purchase t3 this weekend and check it out.

yeah i completely agree, they can still have an extremely violent movie, it just won't be ultra bloody. yeah the 13 year old cunts who have zero appreciation for what this movie represents will all perish in flames.

i can see what you mean, but i think that is supposed to be his character. even in T2 he didn't seem to want the path that he was pushed to.

I thought T3 was an "ok" followup story-wise. Nothing awesome. I kind of didn't like the back story on his mom. They messed up some details.

As far as the movie went... James Cameron was desperately needed back in the movie. It just didn't have the same essence and feel as the 1st two.

I think 4 will be same deal: okay follow up, nothing mind-blowing. It doesn't look dark and brooding at all, like T1/T2. Too cliche looking.

No Terminator movie will ever top T2. Perhaps the best action movie in the past 20 years.

I watched a segment on terminator salavation last night and the director mcg said that there wasnt much cgi in the film. That they tried to use as much real sets,props,terminators possible. Made me want to see the movie more.

i guess that was one of the stipulations for Christian Bale to sign on. he said he wanted as little CGI as possible.

awesome news. I'm not a huge fan of CGI, unless it looks incredibly real. one of the things I liked about the older Star Wars movies was it was all props. Lucas Failed with CGI overload in the new ones.

Too many movies rely on CGI now because of the advances in that field. Nothing beats the real thing though.

I mean... I was thinking about old school effects the otherday. Specifically after I watched Total Recall. Even the red thing that Ahnold takes out of his nose and his fake head look better than some movies today.

I thouht the Back To the Future movies had good effects, though. In the 1st one, it is clearly visible that the fire is animated when Marty shoots back to '85. But it still looks cool.

I know we're supposed to suspend our disbelief for movies, but I am going to have a hard time dealing with Bale being the 3rd John Connor. Sometimes I wish Furlong came back into the series. Why didn't whatshisname 2nd John Conner want to do the 4th movie?
