my good friend and former drummer of ascendancy, hekseri, herugrim, summoning hate, etc has officially moved to the other side of the planet. . Not sure how many of you guys knew him, but he'll be missed. Also not sure if he wanted me to post this but oh well. he's been involved in the music scene here for sometime. regardless of all the hogwash said about him in the past (shampoo bottles, etc. ) he was still a good dude.

He drummed in a sick thrash band in the late 80s called Skitzoid or something. I heard the cassette demo he had (is it the only copy around?) and it was excellent.

Although certain parties in our band I felt close to didn't get along as well as I'd have liked, Seth was very kind to me. Sometimes things don't go the way u would've liked. But everyone has moved on and it sounds like a new era in Seth's life, and I wish him bon voyage!!!

ITT: Seth invented the burst beat

I have a journal somewhere of my experience touring with Ascendancy in South America, some of those memories include,

-Seth immediately getting off the plain and being hounded in Spanish by everyone since he is straight up Columbian (this happened for nearly 4 weeks straight and he still never bothered to learn the language). Terence had a similar problem but was often called Chinese...
-Playing so hard on the riser in Hyuancayo nearly a dozen peruvians had to hold the scaffolding for the duration of the set since the fucking thing was shaking all over. Set was stopped when a tidal wave of metalheads crashed into the front and cleared out our amps.
-Breaking snares in Hyuancayo, Tacna, Ica, Pumo, Cuenca, Arequipa, and Truillo. Each snare was lashed in a unique public way that surely brought the judgement. OH SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR GEAR, BUY AMERICAN
-Get's an entire huge duffle bag full of 80's metal tour shirts stolen on the 3rd date of the tour. THAT FUCKING SUCKED.
-Seth and Terence loosen up and have a 2 or 3 beers before our set in Ica which is in a municipal heavy equipment open air palace of concrete. Seth proceeds to mosh to Sepultura's - Schizophrenia over the PA with locals painted in cinco de mayo corpse paint in between gear hauling trips.
-Seth, if you're reading this, I still know you watched me nail that chick in Quito. Next time, at least open a can of soda and eat some chips, like Wren.
-Talking about how to pick up hookers/brothels with taxi drivers...in english.
-Playing finger drums on acoustic guitars for drunken slayer jams.

Everyone has issues with playing shit I guess but let me remind you guys of something earth shattering, not sure if your ready for this....HE'S A DRUMMER! I mean I know most drummers are perfect people who play everything immaculate, have really stable levels of emotional rationality, are open minded, patient, caring thoughtful people but one thing remains....HE'S A DRUMMER, WHOA GUY! And next to that a pretty solid friend with an everlasting nylon fetish.

Hello all and thanks for the kind words and No it will be only me and the rest is to tell of my tales of down under. I cannot wait to see you all again friends and foes, but that is what the music scene is anywhere, but no scene here in adelaide, SA. Thanks BSV and I remember having a good time drinking a lot with you brother in peru and arilliusbm. Just hope to make a fresh start and play more. I have been jamming in aussie and practicing and hoping to be better with this time off of bands. but I miss it like hell!! For all the haters of my drumming and me... well i feel welcomed already!
