Eh, I think Minus the Herd is their best effort. Breathing is Irrelevant was pretty good besides the mixing. Solace was very forgettable, IMO. From the 1 minute clip I heard a while back and this new song, I think they're going to try to have more variety and do a mix of both the BiI and MtH styles.

I do agree the original vocalist sounded better.

Minus the Herd is their style watered down with more chug. I still like it but it's not the same band. Their lyrics were awesome on the first two albums and now they're absolute shit. booo

I liked Minus the Heard when I pretend it's not Ion Dissonance. I fucking love Solace and Breathing is Irrelevant. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a big fan of this new song too.

Funny enough, a lot of my friends prefer Minus the Herd too. But it's also because I introduced most of them to Ion Dissonance. It's generally what I start people with because of the fact that the songs are simpler, and IMO, catchier.

You're the first person I've heard say that MTH is their favorite who isn't a newfag.

Yeah, this vocalist is blah but the dude before him was much worse IMO. Always loved the music though.

This one time, on Halloween, in East Boston; a bunch of us went to the random party that our friend Erin told us would be "insane", "sick", etc.

The party was basically an animal cage. The place was trashed, people were high off whatever substance they could find, and the only place where we weren't looked at like ATMs spewing into the road was a room on the second floor.
Don't get me wrong, we attempted to make friends and play nice, but no one was having it.

As we were just relaxing in this room and the owners of the house had someone constantly come check on us. He decided to try and relate instead of just stand in the corner and stare.

So he busts out an Ion Dissonance CD. I'm not sure which one it was, it was about 2004 or 2005 at the time. As soon as he left, Lynchie lost his shit. He began stabbing the couch, wrecking the shelves, and then someone opened the window. Pretty much anything that wasn't bolted to the floor wound up taking a flight from the second story. We left as soon as we were finished.

Moral of the story: Ion Dissonance causes ape shit in sober hairy irish men on Halloween.

While I agree that Breathing... and Solace are the best, this is pretty fucking good.

The lyrics are terrible. I wish they still had the old singer.

Still..... 1,000x better than anything that came after Solace.

which album is the "kill yourself or someone you love" sample in the first song of? That one's ok, but i think it has a lot of filler. (so i assume it was solace based on what blue said) i like the one that came out before that the best out of what i've heard. I don't like the new stuff i've heard.

The new song sounds good. I think the "new" (He's not new anymore) singer sounded terrible on MTH but good on this new song. Let's see how the whole album sounds. I'm sure this will leak soon.

i really enjoy the music in the new song. it has the energy that the last album was sort of missing. MtH would have been really awesome if it was faster more often. it was just a freight train... chugging along at it's own pace. a really heavy, slow pace.
