So yeah, anyway, blatant show plug aside, the guys from Scars Of Tomorrow asked me to try taking some promo shots for them tonight and I wanted some opinions. Let me know what you think of these:













I wish I had a better camera so they looked better :(

i think the quality is ok... but its sorta a weird place for them... its like outside some dudes house... chillin in front of the venetian blinds... *shrug*

you are also going to have to clone out the shadows.
I think if you did that and then blurred the blinds and make them black and white and it would work.

i was going to mention the background too..a little too much going on

also i feel the people on the outsides are too cropped out...esp the guy on my right

the last thing is that the guy second from my left with the nose ring his face looks a little choppy..but i'm thinking maybe you lower the resolution in order to post them

all in all though..great first try!! =) nice job!

Actually it was in that little alley next to Fat Cats. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing so I didn't get to take them high-res. I am going to reshoot some tonight. If you've ever been to Springfield, you'd realize it was probably the best place you're going to find haha. Thanks for the pointers though.

when I first saw the drummer from scars, I thought" this is going to suck... here we go, goth metal"
then they got up and played some cali-metalcore.
I ddn't think it was bad at all.

I love those dudes. Such awesome people. They decided that they were fine and are going to go with them. It was such a random thing, their bassist Bob just asked me if I wanted to do it and I told him I had never really tried before so I made no promises. I offered to reshoot them last night, only all of them as high res shots but they said it was cool and these should work out.

Haha I am going to do it more now, especially since I have a better idea of what I need to do to make them work right. I'll also be a little more vocals about what needs to be done next time. They just found a spot and kind of stood around, I was like "ok yeah um do that" haha...

scars of tomorrow was just kind of generic, not neccessarily bad. it was my first time seeing death before dishonor and i was really impressed. they're a tough guy hardcore band, but with talent. hey mike, who was gonna fight who?

their facial exprespressions are really weird. If you do more promo shoots try and get the band to not stare or give such odd looks..
