i have a nice little list like joe as well, not that i book a lot of shows but when i do i usually have a list of bands in mind to play before i even put out that i need some bands

I hate it, trying to book shows, and there are bands that I cannot book with certain other bands because someone has to talk shit. It sucks, both the bands may be awesome, and someone loses exposure because of some little tiff.. again, I am not directing this AT anyone, I've just had to deal with it in the past, and it is a shitty deal

As far as I am concerned I have pretty much found all the good local bands and now my shows are just the same bands recycled together each show. I am going to be bringing in out of state bands more and more now to add some new flavor.

yes new flavor is nice, out of state bands etc.
it's good to mix it up
but if people didn't talk as much shit, then the shows could be more varied...

I think out of who I book now I have some good variety.
I still need to have hirudinea and disengaged play together and then that about sums up everything.

however beakey emailed me about a local band I didn't know who are awesome, I don't know their name off the top of my head.

Hey I agree with succubus...I think we should all be happy that there is a scene, and there are alot of kick ass bands around. I have never been happier to be apart of everything that has been offered to me and my band. And all the bands kick ass and are cool fuckers. I hope it doesn't get ruined.

metal will never get ruined, but reguardless, people are all of different personalities, so no matter what, there will always be people that clash, or just plain don't like eachother for no reason at all sometimes. You just have to deal. Move on, do your music and shut the fuck up.
